[Bug 305333] Re: Brasero, When write all go slowly......

It is not only a brasero bug, but valid for the complete distribution:

K3b behaves exactly the same way:
while burning the system becomes much slower, even the mouse moves less fluently. After burning everything is normal again. The burning itself is too slow, too: 0,8x instead of 8x.
It is conspicious that the drive's cache (not the software cache) is not completly filled. That is why I thought that DMA is possibly not activated but this is not the case:

/dev/scd0:

 Model=HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T40N                , FwRev=JQ01    , SerialNo=K0182MK4525
 Config={ Fixed Removeable DTR<=5Mbs DTR>10Mbs nonMagnetic }
 RawCHS=0/0/0, TrkSize=0, SectSize=0, ECCbytes=0
 BuffType=unknown, BuffSize=0kB, MaxMultSect=0
 (maybe): CurCHS=0/0/0, CurSects=0, LBA=yes, LBAsects=0
 IORDY=on/off, tPIO={min:120,w/IORDY:120}, tDMA={min:120,rec:120}
 PIO modes:  pio0 pio3 pio4
 DMA modes:  mdma0 mdma1 mdma2
 UDMA modes: udma0 udma1 *udma2
 AdvancedPM=no
 Drive conforms to: Unspecified:  ATA/ATAPI-4,5,6,7

 * signifies the current active mode

I attached the k3b report, perhaps it can help to identify the problem.
