Agreed with Elfy.  Mailing lists aren't the place for emoji.

I'd suggest that if you review your messages in plain text that you make sure your emails are being *sent* as plain text as well.  The alternative is to just not use whatever you're using to apply emphasis to things.

Not all of us IRC, Alberto.  That's why many may think this is unilaterally organized.  It's probably better to use just the mailing list for discussing organization of these events, or to link the relevant logs of discussion here, if the channels you used to discuss this are logged publicly.
