karmic bug from this year

Hi,

I have found

The reported uses a karmic system which is heavily outdated, but still
reports in year 2012 from it.

How to handle this?

I would like to inform the reporter about the end of support for karmic
and ask s/he to upgrade to a supported(newest at best) version of Ubuntu
and doing a retesting with a bugzilla package that is there.
