Creating a bug task for a specific release

I had a bug report recently which applies only to 10.04 (it's fixed in
later releases already). If I am understanding the process correctly,
then I should open a task for the bug targeting 10.04, use that to
track the status, and set the original task to 'fix released' since
that's what it is in Ubuntu as a whole.

I can't seem to find a way to do that. Is this something only
bug-control can do?
