gksu not maintained?

Hi all,

I was wondering about all those gksu related bugs I meet in launchpad.
I looked in the upstream BTS and it seems nothing is fixed since
almost two years [1]. In the meantime only debian/patches/ grew.

I wonder whether enough thought is going into that, as gksu plays an
important role on the desktop.  Chances are there I'm missing some
point, but I'd like to mention it in case I don't.
