Ubuntu-bugsquad Digest, Vol 30, Issue 3

Hi everyone,

I too need advice. I am interested in triaging bugs. I have worked
with the Gnome people via bugzilla to get a few bugs squashed there, but
never Ubuntu. What's the process here?

I signed up for the list because Gnome decided not to fix one of the
bugs I reported. (It had to do with browsing a broken samba bookmark in
Ubuntu up to 8.04 with the system monitor applet going. This causes the
CPU to race until nautilus and the gnome-panel are both killed.) Gnome
is not fixing this because it is fixed in the current version of gnome.
They suggested I report it to Ubuntu.

There is almost no traffic here so this can't be the only place to
report bugs. I have also joined the bugsquad launchpad group, but
wasn't sure what to do there either. I got in the irc channel, but
there wasn't any activity there either. How do I help? (With this bug
and others.)

Thanks,
Bryan
