[Ubuntu-BR] Problemas com o X

Boa tarde PessoAll.
Estou com um monitor LCD Braview 5002LH e o X não funciona de forma alguma.
Tentei com o 6.06, 7.04, 8.04 e 8.10.
Agora estou com o 8.04. Para instalar tive que conectar outro monitor.
Quando volto para o Braview o X não sobe e a última linha é * Running local boot scripts (/etc/rc.local).
Só encontrei esse tópico (http://ubuntuforum-pt.org/index.php?topic=45284.0 )e o problema não foi resolvido.
Voltei para o xorg.conf original.
O que mais posso fazer?
De quais informações precisam para me ajudar nessa questão?
