Blueman works better in some cases

Hi,
While trying to get Ubuntu 12.10 to play nice with my phone over Bluetooth,
I found that the default Bluetooth manager is quite limited/buggy for my
particular device compared to the Blueman manager (and I am not the
only one<http://askubuntu.com/a/211019/103953>).
I wonder why that is? Is there any particular reason the things that work
well in Blueman (in my case file transfer and audio) have not been "moved
over" into the default Bluetooth manager? I mean, I would much prefer that
things just worked out of the box. Is there any way I could help make this
happen? Thanks,
Anders Feder
