Hi,

Super idea! Good hope you will manage to configure this for none Ubuntu
people.

2 years ago I've tried integrating Ubuntu on a lanparty (a small one with
30 participants). Because we had no Internet connection this was almost
impossible. I'd set up a repo-server so I could let people use the repo's
of Ubuntu to install their favorite games. I assumed that the repo's would
have fixes for certain incompatibility problems.

This is certainly a good idea if you want to decrease the amount of
bandwidth usage. But it's almost impossible to do without a live Internet
connection. Otherwise you have to cache all the required packages and their
dependency's in advance. If you'd like to set up such a system I'd like to
help.

What other technologies are you thinking about? DNS, DHCP, Web-server,
File-server, Firewall... are all available on Ubuntu to off-course.

I'll try to attend the meeting sunday.

With kind regards
Bram
