All these versions are essentially the plain vanilla 'buntu's, with
different theming, and remastered with some additional preinstalled
software. Just like Edubuntu.
Only difference: Edubuntu is backed by Shuttleworth's $$$, the other
'buntu's are community projects.

Sure, why not?
It's up to the end user to configure this for himself, the tool only gives
a preconfigured suggestion.
