[Ubuntu-be] Ubuntu on Dell computers soon in Belgium?

Why wait for Dell ??? Do you think it is the only Linux-PC-seller in the 
world ? It is not because they come into the news very often, that it is the 
only one.
There are better and cheaper solutions then Dell.

Hello,

I was desperately searching the web this afternoon for a laptop
without Windows preinstalled, for less than 600€, for some friends who
asked where they could buy this, but also for me.
Finally, I was so annoyed by the fact that Dell only offers
preinstalled Ubuntu in France, Germany and the UK, that I decided to
write an email to Dell Belgium.
But then, browsing their site, a PopUp suddenly offered me a live chat
with a "Dell-expert"! I accepted and found myself talking to
Pascal_Lissane_Eddine.

I explained my problem and my annoyement to him and asked him why it
was not possible to have this offer in Belgium and he replied this:
04:45:08 PM: Pascal_Lissane_Eddine: *c'est prévu pour les jours à
venir* ("it is planned in the forthcoming days")
04:45:22 PM: Pascal_Lissane_Eddine: *mais on ne sait pas encore la
date.* ("but we don't yet know a date")

I asked for more information, asked him in how many days/weeks/months
it would be available, all I got was:
05:00:29 PM: Pascal_Lissane_Eddine: *J'aimerai bien avoir une date, je
reçois plusieurs demandes par jour.* ("I'd like to have a date, I get
several requests per day")

Then, I asked if it was eally certain or just "planned":
05:00:29 PM: Pascal_Lissane_Eddine: *Non, c'est sur.* ("No, it's certain.")

I thanked him, after what he closed the conversation...
This is really good News!
I invite you to go and vote on the dell idea storm
http://www.ideastorm.com/ or post in their community forum, so that
they sense the belgian demand...
