People that only speak one of Dutch, French or German good enough to
write in it are welcome to do that too.  E.g. many older people never
learned to write a second language properly and many of them never
learned any English at school either.

But for those who speak English, it's easier to use that, especially for
things that involve the whole Belgian community.  (For discussing
details about organising a specific activity that will be mono-lingual,
I think it's not that important.)
