[Ubuntu-be] Open standards presentation for the Apple Club Antwerpen

Waarschijnlijk is dat TINA (there is no alternative), een toffe Linux
club met zeer aangename mensen...

Ik heb een 3-tal pogingen gedaan om er te verblijven en lid van te
worden maar ze spreken daar in C (sommigen in assembler). Het nerd
gehaalte ligt er zeer hoog en linux is of van scratch op te bouwen en
voor de watjes mag het ook de Gentoo sourcecode zijn. Wil je hun
aandacht dan ga je daar best naartoe met een op een 8088 gebaseerde
computer en de vraag hoe je de laatste 2.6.20 kernel erop moet krijgen.
Ze hebben absoluut geen oog voor jou, des te meer voor je oerpc maar met
een gsm met filmfunctie haal je met stip voor dagen alle aandacht op
YouTube... Voor de liefhebbers, succes en vooral verwacht je aan vooral
technische vragen... Oja, debian gebruikers werden daar als achterlijk
beschouwd. Maar dat ben ik maar eerst na de 3de bijeenkomst te weten
gekomen (na het leren van C als voertaal)...

PS: En breng zeker nooit je 15-jarige dochter mee (zeker niet als ze er
18 uitziet), na 15 minuten is die zodanig met de ogen uitgekleed dat ze
niet meer de zaal achter het café in wil.
