OK, My review is going to be kinda negative so first let me tell you
what I do. I always keep LAMP running. I use Netbeans which is a heavy
IDE (yeah, I know it's much more lightweight compared to Eclipse and
others but still heavy). Firefox is also heavily resource hungry these
days. So, I need a system that takes low resources and gives more to
my apps.
Sadly, with every release of Ubuntu, I get more and more disappointed.
I don't really care about the UI as long as I can get things done.
I've installed 11.10, said W*F!! and got back to Kubuntu 11.04.
I've said Good bye to Ubuntu, Canonical sucks with Unity. Well, I'm
optimistic and believe something great can emerge out of Unity but it
will take time. If someday they make it light and user friendly, I
shall love to get my hands back on Ubuntu.
Besides UI, the OS updates are awesome. Ubuntu One is doing great.
More drivers. Overall good :)
