Ya, for general purpose it is almost immune to virus. Though I'm aware of the
existence of Linux virus, they merely can affect the entire system cause of
Linux file hierarchy and the use of super user. And after SELinux being
introduced, it's almost "IMPOSSIBLE" to make a Linux box virus prone.
The AV that exists for Linux is generally to scan for windows virus. They
basically removes virus from flash drives which often is the main source of
spreading viruses.
