Please try swiftfox <http://getswiftfox.com/> for linux, Its an 
optimized version of firefox for linux and faster then FF.


      Instructions for installing with apt-get

   1. Add the repository to /etc/apt/sources.list

      deb http://getswiftfox.com/builds/debian unstable non-free

   2. Install from a terminal window as root using the correct package
      name:

      apt-get update && apt-get install swiftfox-i686

Package names are based on the specific architecture and can be found 
here <http://getswiftfox.com/builds/debian/packages>. If you are not 
sure which architecture you need for your processor this chart 
<http://getswiftfox.com/proc.htm> should help.
