Try XBMC. It's the new sensation :P

Add the following repositories

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc-intrepid/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc-intrepid/ubuntu intrepid main

Then install xbmc from synaptic.
