[ Ubuntu-BD ] writing C program in Ubuntu

I had installed the KDevelop but could not find any option to compile, debug
or run the code.
can you me any address where i will get a tutorial to learn about this.

i had visited the www.kdevelop.org page but it was not so helpful for me.
