Run ekiga. Applications > Internet > Ekiga Softphone

Now enter into the textbox

sip:USERNAME_at_yahoo.com at yahoo.gtalk2voip.com

Your buddy should here the ring. You can voice chat now.

This method works with any SIP phone. Wengo is one of them, while
Ekiga comes installed by default.

For proper yahoo voice chat, you need to wait a bit longer. Empathy is
going there almost. Empathy works with Google Talk nicely. Try to
convince your friends/buddies to convert to the open protocol like
Google Talk and ditch closed proprietary protocols like, yahoo, msn,
etc that only works with MS Windows. Then you should have no problem
with voice or chat or even video.
