Public bug reported:
I have slammed into an upgrade wall migrating from Ubuntu 8.04 to 10.04.
While sftp-server responded nicely to setting a custom umask in a driver
shell script. sftp-server in Lucid does not.
I found documented here a two part work-around, and one part of it was
to use the Maverick OpenSSH packages. Maverick is now history.
http://serverfault.com/questions/228396/how-to-setup-sshs-umask-for-all-
type-of-connections
I tried installing the package for Precise, however I get numerous
dependency complaints.
So, would you please please please backport the Precise version of SSH
so that I could use the new switch to sftp-server to specify a custom
umask?
TIA so much!
