Thanks for filing this request. However, because users will never
receive packages from backports without an explicit action, we use
backports to provide new features, not to fix bugs. For fixing bugs, we
use the Stable Release Update (SRU -
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates) process.

Since there is already have a bug filed against Ubuntu (bug #629646),
I'm going to close this bug and open SRU tasks on that bug.
