Joel,

Thanks for bringing this up. I feel social media is one of the mediums we're
currently not using to it's potential. It has also been mentioned that this
would be a very useful tool to remind people about upcoming events.

I personally have little knowledge or experience with social media, in fact
I have only set up accounts on all three services after our talk the other
night on IRC. Hopefully there are some people that know a lot more about
these things than I do (thanks for the link you posted as well, good
reading) and can help us decide how best to set it up to get the most
benefit out of it. I have asked around other LoCos and it appears there is
no preferred way of doing it, just whatever suits each group best. So over
to you, lets hear your opinions of what has worked well in the past for
other groups you may be associated with and why.
