I have been following an excellent thread at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=616103
I think I am making progress with the driver, but there are still
problems, an IRC loop seen in dmesg output.

So, logically, now I have re-loaded the driver, I should be able to
use w_scan to make an initial scan file 'channels.conf'
