Topic Change: Does everyone like the Koala

Hi to all...

I have to agree on the half baked! I realise that Empathy will mature,
and maybe even surprise us all to the point of "hey why didn't we use
this earlier!" but sadly for me I find it irritating for IRC and have
since completely removed it and reverted back to Pidgin! (I only use
IRC, ICQ, & Gtalk/Jabber!) so to loose video conferencing to me is no
big deal! I use skype for that...

Now for my Eee, I have one of the wee tiny ones! (701-SD) and the
7" (16:10) display real estate is at a premium! I initially was using
(during Alpha) the normal desktop install but settled on using the
current UNR as the sleeker UI is far more usable than the previous! and
it's nice to now be able to still use a pretty background picture and
still be able to see it!

I did have some small issues with sound, but this was soon solved by
playing with what was available (meaning what works!) and due to having
a 7.1 surround sound device after selecting it ... well hey its all
good! As for the usplash, defiantly some work needed there a plain white
ubuntu logo I think looks bloody awful after having colour for so long!
(again just my opinion!) I've since to found a nifty way to set whatever
desktop image you have to then become the default after that ugly B/W
ubuntu logo!

So if I had to rate 9.10 I'd still give it a 8 -/- 10 and for the UNR
that gets a 9 -/- 10 ...
