Hi all,
have checked out router HarbourIT satellite sells, it's a Netgear
WGR614, has anyone had any experience with
this router.
Have asked the questions, and have all good answers from HarbourIT, but
they are asking $185 for it pre-configured,
I can buy the same router from Harvey Norman for $89, so sounds like a
very expensive "pre-configuring", as I am on a pension.
I think I should learn to do it for myself, will get no help from "Help
Desk", no support for Linux, and I live
in a very small town North of Adelaide, so must be able to help myself,
have 2 other locals in the process of being "converted" to Ubuntu, but
it's me helping them (with Windows too), (blind leading the even more
blind) so as I said I should be able to help myself if the need arises.
HarbourIT looks like doing a lot of business in this town, only
alternative to satellite is Telstra NextG wireless which is expensive,
so someone in the town with a little knowledge could be useful :-)
If anyone has any experience with this router I would be most
appreciative. Have the manual for it and it looks like it shouldn't be
beyond me, and I could certainly use the $100 saving.
Many thanks in advance.
Take Care
Winton
