With great pleasure and gratitude, I would like to inform Ubuntu-au-request
that the temporary disappointments and frustrations caused with the new
upgrade of Ubuntu 8.04 in regards of the Virtualbox and Sound are over.
I specially would like to express my sincere thanks to Andre Mangan for his
help and support in his continuous care and communications skills in solving
the Virtual box proper setup and successful outcome.
I diligently searched the Ubuntu Forums, which I might say have a colossal
information and solution bases, to resolve the Sound in Ubuntu 8.04, and
with great delight I came across the following Forum entry;

where the first entry was my salvation;
"Upgrading from an earlier release of Ubuntu to Hardy you may end up missing
kernel sound modules

if "find /lib/modules/`uname -r` | grep snd" returns no results, then your
upgrade/dist-upgrade missed the linux-ubuntu-modules package, you need to
install it and reboot:

sudo aptitude install linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r` linux-generic "

As instructed, I rebooted and voila!

At the present Ubuntu 8.04 is magical with Firefox3 and with all its
formidable Applications.
