Firstly, you should have installed gcc (C compiler), gcc (C++ compiler), flex, bison, libfontconfig1-dev, and svn. Then open a terminal and follow the instructions (The commands that you need to enter are shown in blue):



vafa at vafa-desktop:~$ svn co http://scripts.sil.org/svn-public/xetex/TRUNK

vafa at vafa-desktop:~$ cd TRUNK

vafa at vafa-desktop:~/TRUNK$ sh build-xetex

vafa at vafa-desktop:~/TRUNK$ sudo sh install-xetex

[sudo] password for vafa: #give your own password here








Congratulation you have got XeTeX0.998.5-dev and xdvipdfmx drive 0.7 now.
