netcomm v300 and ubuntu

Just had a look at the setup procedure on the netcomm site. I assume that
you followed that. In order to set up the V300 they say connect a computer
to it and rightly so. What they do not say is unplug your computer when you
have finished.
If, by chance, you have still your computer plugged into the V300,
disconnect it and plug it into your modem.
