Can someone help me with this?

I was burning a audio CD with gnome baker, I mean I tried.

I had problems writing DVDs as well but can't remember the exact error.

When i use the internal data disc writer it works?

I tryed serpentine and it worked.

Has it something to do with permissions? I installed gnome baker via the "Add/Remove software" so I think it should setup
properly...

I read something about my drive on http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Toshiba_Satellite_P100#Linux_Support
"Add combined_mode=libata to kernel parameters in order to setup dma transfers for optical drive. Otherwise, playing or
recording DVDs doesn't work correctly."

But I am not sure how to do that properly. Can one give me instructions

Cheers Sebastian
