Evolution, contacts, birthday and years earlier than 1970

UNIX measures time in seconds from the 'epoch' - 00:00:00 UTC on January 1, 
1970[1]. This should be totally transparent to the end-user, so the fact that 
Evolution cannot handle pre-epoch dates correctly is a sign of a bug. I 
suggest that you look into the Launchpad bugs database to see if this has 
been reported. If not, file a bug report.
