nvidia geforce 8400m g suppurt in 64 bit?

Is this only a problem with 64bit Ubuntu?  I am looking at the Dell
XPS 1330m which has the mobile version of the 8400 and am hoping 32bit
7.04 will run as beautifully as it does on my current (older) laptop.
