Installing Feisty Fawn -- what have I done wrong ?

Hi Folks,

Started to get Feisty via the 'Update manager'. Well, that took 9 hours
20 mins to download. Started install updates (Feisty)  for about 30
minutes
and got told that by the update mngr that there were too many errors. As
I was  half expecting this, I did the download Feisty for burning to the
CD.

Now, how do I get Feisty from the Cd to be the upgraded system. I have
tried to load the Cd with a response like: " Loading Isolinux: disk
error20,
Ax=4200, Drive EF".   And: Error Reading Boot Cd. Reboot !"

This is mysterious. Is there an error on the Cd as well.

Some upgrades seem to go smooth,but not for me.

Well, as usual, any help will be appreciated, but, please, keep it
simple for this newbie ( and others)
