Dial up Modem

Hi,
I am from Brisbane Australia and I am new to Ubuntu.
 
So far it has been a struggle with the learning of this new operating
system. can anyone help me with a driver or installation of my Modem.
I did run the chip test program and it came up with Conexant HCF 56k
Data/Fax?Voice/Spkp hcflinmodem.
I have tried the web site www.Linuxant.com but how confusing there is
nowhere to download this.
Also when I have the driver what comes next?
How do I get it in to Ubuntu?
Thanks for any help in advanced.
