OK - try this:

$  host au.archive.ubuntu.com

au.archive.ubuntu.com is an alias for mirrors.uwa.edu.au.
mirrors.uwa.edu.au has address 130.95.128.79
au.archive.ubuntu.com is an alias for mirrors.uwa.edu.au.
au.archive.ubuntu.com is an alias for mirrors.uwa.edu.au.

So - looks like the University of Western Australia to me ...

By the way, if you use the Optus mirror for ubuntu, please keep a *close*
eye on it - recently it's been good, but they didn't update from about June
until September ( I like to think my little note to them poked them into
action, but I have a feeling that might be wishful thinking ;- ) If they
slip up again, a few polite messages from us might remind them that there
are actually quite a few Ubuntu users out here... )
