That definition will exclude GNU/Linux distros distributed as part of an OEM
deal with the distro maker. For instance, HP distributes Mandriva or Ubuntu
with some of their machines (though not in Australia, unfortunately). They
pay an OEM fee to Mandriva/Canonical as part of this arrangement.
I don't think there is much need to be nitpicky about this. IMHO, "Notebooks
Without Windows" is an appropriate title. In the case of Apple, it is taken
for granted that they ship their systems with Mac OS and nothing else.
Of course there are some other exceptions [1], but they are few and far
between.
