You are mistaken. There has been a proposal to use such photo wallpapers
for the alphas and one or the other lynx drawing earlier on, but that's
it.

Everything going on here says pretty much nothing about what will be the
default wallpaper, as that is a internal matter at Canonical.

I somewhat agree regarding the expression, but there is a potential
conflict with aiming at being "cool" and "sexy".
