I can't really see what you're agreeing with considering your response.

As the icon is used in several places doing slightly different things
but still relating to the desktop we will stick with tradition and
create a normal icon.

And as this set is intended for use with Ubuntu, and not another distro,
I see nothing wrong with a submission having Ubuntu-specific details.

Instead of showing the default 2-panel layout maybe we could do for
something different? I'm sure Sebastien has some ideas and I'd still
like to see what he (or anyone) can do with the "desktop mat" idea ;)

Ultimately, the people who do the work or have a credible opinion will
craft Breathe. So, if you don't like it, get to work. :)
