Another notable feature with the current Clearlooks engine is how it handles
selected widgets. That is, what is usually the dotted line surrounding a
widget that will respond to keyboard input. The standard dotted line is not
only an ugly obtrusion, but also rather hard to find if one is actually
looking for it.
The new Clearlooks finally reinvents the selected widget indication, drawing
a very tasteful rounded background that fits with the feel of the theme
(thus not being obtrusive), yet is also very quickly located. It fits with
the theme so well that I, as one who rarely wants this keyboard operation,
actually appreciate its presence! The new selected widget indicator serves a
double purpose to point out notable widgets, such as the Apply button
selected by default in a dialog. It also just looks pretty :)
I wonder if Murrine can incorporate that?
As for what exists: Nice work, Giuseppe!
