I agree with both points of view. People are always a bit sensitive  
about work that they have done, so it might make for a more effective  
message if a more constructive approach were taken. The mockup is  
good, I mean technically it would make a window manager that would  
work, and it looks clean. However it does seem rather derivative, and  
doesn't inspire much excitement and it's not very original.

So I'd encourage the author to try again, but have him know that his  
work will have a much better chance of survival if he follows the  
guidelines, which where well pointed out in the last post...
