Yes, while the level of transparency is mostly just personal preference,
I do have a reason for my madness. SVG shadows are very poor right now
and you do not want the average user that has a good eye to know this.
So I chose to use a more transparent shadow to hide this. It's also
better for any kind of background. Now, if you do the shadows like
jimmac did on the original Tango, dark, isn't much of an issue. It is
very time consuming to make them that way though and I can underatnd
wanting to wait for the better filters.

I posted the full screenshots to capture the desktop feel. If you do as
I said, and open the links in tabs switching between them, it is a far
more accurate and easier way to visualize the big difference in the two
shadow concepts.

For the record, I do not like toolbar icons that have the round
shadow/standup feel. In anything smaller than 24x24 it makes them hard
to identify quickly. But I don't like dirty either.
