Andreas, bvc, thanks for the pointer towards the Tango theme. I tested it and 
it looks like a solid base for creating a "Human" theme specially crafted for 
Ubuntu.

I already edited some parts of the theme to get a feel for it and I think I 
can accomplish the task given some time (say a week). Although I haven't got 
some nice screenshots yet, you can take my word for it that Firefox looks 
more consistent and integrated when using my new "Human" theme.

By creating this "Human" theme I can actually solve three bugs at once: the 
color mismatch, the icons mismatch _and_ the "tab close" bug which I've 
confirmed and screenshotted:

I think this would be an excellent opportunity to get some bugs fixed and I'd 
be glad to spend some time creating and polishing the theme. Before doing 
this however, I need some answers to the following three questions:

1. Are the Human GNOME theme icons frozen so I can already start creating the 
Firefox theme based on the current files? Same question for the theme colors.

2. If the theme shows no regressions, only improvements, compared to the 
current theme, can it be included and set to be the default, preferably for 
Dapper?

3. Has anyone got thoughts on the matter of "Text and icons" by default?

As you might read between the lines, I'd be happy to contribute my time and if 
the result is good enough I'd want the whole world to enjoy it. Feel free to 
put me back in my place, I'm just quite eager to get started on this.

I can imagine you'd first want to see some results before judging on the 
second question, so if I can get the first question out of the way, I might 
be able to have some real world results by the weekend.

As of yet, the statements above are my current "plan of action" to get some 
visible results quickly, if anyone has a more conservative or structured 
approach I'd be glad to hear about it.
