Hi !

[Sorry for crossposting, I'm not sure which list is the most appropriate
for this.]

Since I switched to Ubuntu (hoary), I've always found that the
update-notifier icon (red circle with arrows) was not very clear : the
arrows are too thin (I actually needed a few weeks to realize they were
arrows), and the green "!" gets in the way. I think the color red is
enough of a warning without adding another "!" like "Upgrade now or
you're gonna die within the minute !" :)

So I gave a try at designing a new icon, which I think blends better
into the current theme (and also quite tango-like). Here is the SVG
version :

and a smaller (not optimized, it would probably need a little
