I think progressbar is to inform a user of progress, not scream "YES I'M 
WORKING ON IT" in such an alarming way. I agree, that is my 
interpretation of the hard orange. This also goes for the icons.

See my post to this mailinglist about this from March; unfortunately 
there was no reply, maybe because I could not word is as effectively 
("gradient").
