Current state of issues describer in bug 1481003:

Electrum doesn't depend on tlslite since 2.4.1, current version in Debian repository is 2.5.4.

As I understand other concerns simply boiling down to old version
obsolescence - due to nature of this software this package will need to
be updated in the future as well - it's big issue?
