[ubuntu-ar] Wifi con Kubuntu 9.04

Hola gente.

Ante todo mil disculpas si esto ya fue respondido, busqué en los
(asuntos de los) mensajes enviados desde que salió Jaunty y no ví
nada.
Instalé Kubuntu 9.04 i386 en una Dell Vostro y no me podía conectar a
mi red Wifi. Todo estaba bien, encontraba la red, pero no me reconocía
la contraseña.
Booteé con un Kubuntu 8.04.2 y fuí a mi red Wifi y me conecté, ahí
descubrí que mi sistema de seguridad es WEP 40/104-bit ASCII.
Volví a bootear con el Jaunty y el administrador de redes no tiene
para elegir ese tipo de seguridad.
En un acto de desesperación instalé el 8.04 y lo actualicé a 9.04 (no
se rían...) pero después de reiniciar todo seguía como antes, sin
internet por wifi.
Alguien sabe como configuro la red para ese tipo de seguridad con el
administrador de redes que trae el Kubuntu? A alguno le pasó algo
similar?
Yo pensé conectarla con un cable de red e instalar kwifimanager, pero
me gustaría poder usar el administrador por defecto.
