Cursor size

PLEASE, please show me how to substantially increase the physical size of
the cursor on my Ubuntu powered laptops (2).  This is the only negative I
find and as such just doesn't seem that it should exist.  Surely there are
folks like me who WANT, NEED and surely desire a more visible cursor.

The larger cursor (Adjustably so) should be on the display, no matter what
program/app I am using. ex. all of Libre Office, g-mail, anything I do or
work with.

I've gone into the Synaptic package and found an app called big cursor. It
does not work at all on one of my laptops. On the other I do have a
slightly larger cursor but it does not appear in any program (Libre Office,
etc.).

System settings - cursor - doesn't show anything to change the cursor size.

The Unity Tweak Tool has something which I have installed but the change in
size is insignificant.
