C api for an application to access the menus of its icon in the dock

I notice that the tree https://developer.ubuntu.com/api/devel/ stops at 14.10.

Is there any particular reason for this?

Anyhow, thanks again everybody for all these helpful links about how an
app can take advantage of its environment.
