We require a source package at some point, however...

We have been toying with the idea of adding a binary deb backend, so
that you can upload a deb package, and then we will turn that in to a
source package that will build an equivalent binary package. The main
question mark there is what to do with maintainer scripts.

We haven't investigated to see how feasible it is yet, and we're
concentrating on getting the basic service up and running for
now. Therefore I suggest you focus on providing a tarball as John
suggests, and help us write a JAR backend that will make it dead easy
for your tarballs to be packaged.

Thanks,

James
