problems with the lucid live cd

hi,
Hmm yes the beepers are controlled by the hda codec after the driver is
loaded during boot.
But the speaker works in an early boot process before loading the sound
drivers as well.
There are only few machines without a real speaker but most have!

@Luke: Is there a way to add the beep in luccid?
Afaik grub 2 supports it (read in other ml).
