problems with the lucid live cd

Too bad there's no other way to indicate the prompt. A good deal of new
PCs, and almost all recent laptops, don't have the necessary PC speaker
or, in the case of laptops, it's wired up and controlled by the sound
card so still useless at the boot screen. Off hand though, I can't think
of anything else and I wish I could.
